IPL 2018: KXIP to play first 3 matches in Mohali, last 4 in Indore

KXIP Matches

The IPL governing council has decided to  change the dates of KXIP‘s home matches . The Mohali will be be hosting first 3 matches and Indore will be hosting last 4 matches of KXIP .  As per the revised itinerary, KXIP will play in Mohali on (April 15, 19 and 23) instead of Indore . However, Indore will get benefit from the arrangements as they now have four matches in their kitty .

The reason for this change is because the Chandigarh airport will remain closed from May 12-31 owing to renovation work .

“There were logistical difficulties that teams would have encountered had KXIP played their home games in Mohali in May . Therefore the IPL Governing Council has decided that the dates will be swapped and Indore will now host all their matches in May . ” acting BCCI president and IPL governing council member CK Khanna told PTI on Sunday .

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on two-time winners Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium on April 7

Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday signed former Australia batsman Brad Hodge as head coach on a three-year contract .
Hodge, who held a similar role with Gujarat Lions for the last two seasons, will report to Virender Sehwag, the franchise’s mentor-cum director of cricket .

The 42-year-old Hodge continues to feature as an active player . He will be playing for Melbourne Renegades in the 2017-18 Big Bash League (BBL) before joining KXIP as headcoach.

“We have signed a three-year agreement with Brad, who will be our head coach,” Kings XI Punjab co-owner Ness Wadia said.
